You eat at these places every week. Here are some fun facts about them you probably never knew.

## 1. One owner runs 26 Burger Kings

Every one of them under a single franchise company. Burger King liked the work so much it named them Franchisee of the Year in 2025.

## 2. The Peter Piper Pizza guy built his own chicken chain

The owner behind 17 El Paso Peter Pipers also launched BOSS Tenders, Dogs & Custard. BOSS is up to 11 stores, with more on the way. One of them sits in an old KFC on North Mesa.

## 3. Little Caesars is 28 stores and one owner

That is more El Paso locations than almost any brand in town, and it all rolls up to one company.

## 4. Wing Daddy's, Toro Burger Bar, The Pizza Joint, Charcoaler and Boozy Tacos are the same group

Five brands that feel like five different businesses. They all come from the same local team.

## 5. One company runs every restaurant inside Hotel Paso del Norte

1700 Steakhouse, Sabor, Dulce, Black Jack's Cigar Lounge and El Mirador. Every food and drink spot in the building, one operator.

## 6. Verde Salad Co. went from one shop to 10

The homegrown salad chain opened two more stores in 2026 alone, plus its Naranja Juicery. It is one of the fastest growing local brands in El Paso.

## 7. The El Paso McDonald's you visit is probably family owned

One local family runs 15 McDonald's here and keeps adding stores. Corporate runs about 17 more.

## 8. Your Sam's Club sushi is its own chain

Those sushi counters inside Sam's Club are run by one franchise company with five El Paso spots. Another group runs the sushi counters inside Sprouts and at UTEP.

## 9. Carl's Jr. quietly changed hands

All 10 El Paso Carl's Jr. stores moved to a new franchise owner in late 2025. Most customers never noticed.

## 10. So did Dunkin'

Thirteen El Paso Dunkin' locations now belong to a new franchise group.

## 11. Every El Paso Denny's is one owner

Nine stores, one group.

## 12. Village Inn tried to become its own brand

The family behind El Paso's Village Inns started turning them into their own concept, Butter Smith Kitchen & Pies. Some are still Village Inns today.

## 13. There are four Bombers, named after four bombers

B-17, B-2, B-29 and B-52 Bombers Oyster Pubs all belong to one group. The B-17 downtown sits in the old Sparrow's Spirits & Pies building.

## 14. Mall food courts are a growth play

El Paso Wing House started on North Mesa in 2020. Now it is in Cielo Vista Mall and opening at The Outlet Shoppes.

## 15. Old drive thrus never die

La Reyna Bakery opened its second store in a building that used to be a Dairy Queen, then Taco Central. In El Paso, a good drive thru always finds its next tenant.

## Why This Matters

A lot of El Paso's favorite spots grew from one store into many. Every one of those new stores needed the right space first.

Run a restaurant and thinking about your next location? We help El Paso restaurants find the right spot.

Own a center with an empty space? We help fill it with the right tenant.
